Setting Up Password Manager for the First Time

New employees and students at Xavier will need to create a password before using Xavier resources like MyXU, email, and network folders. This document demonstrates the process. You can also follow this process for changing your password.

1.  Go to MyXU, also referred to as the portal, at You can also get there by going to and then clicking on MyXU in the upper right of the screen.


2.  Once at the MyXU login screen, click on New User beneath the user name and password boxes.

3.  At the MyXU New User Set Up screen, fill in the box at the bottom of the screen, headed User Verification.  You will need your username, Banner ID, and date of birth to set your initial password. If you do not know your username and/or Banner ID please contact your Admission Office or your hiring manager.


4.  At the next screen, enter your new password and then enter it again to confirm it.  Click Set Password and you are done.
